Harmonize 

Harmonize is a discussion tool that boosts engagement in online courses with features like milestone-based due dates, integration with ChatGPT, real-time chat, polls, and annotations for PDFs, videos, and images.

Copyleaks

Copyleaks is a plagiarism tool that can be used in Canvas assignments to identify potential plagiarism. The tool features an AI Content detector to detect AI-generated content.

Simple Syllabus

Simple Syllabus is a tool that was adopted to help instructors more easily organize, create, and import syllabi. Other features include automating institutional and departmental information and student analytics.

Panorama

Panorama is a tool in Canvas that identifies course content that needs accessibility improvements and allows instructors and students to download files in alternative formats. It also provides instructors with additional course-level tools, including a course accessibility report. Additionally, it includes improved tools to help you make your files accessible, as well as a browser extension to evaluate external websites for accessibility concerns (it is named User Setup).

You can find it by navigating to Panorama in your course navigation, or unhiding it in the navigational settings.

Respondus

Respondus Monitor and Respondus LockDown Browser are proctoring tools that allow instructors to provide remote testing. Respondus LockDown Browser disables the browser outside of the test taking environment while Respondus Monitor monitors suspicious behavior during the test.

Class for Zoom

Class for Zoom is a Zoom overlay that has the look and feel of Zoom with added features to simulate an in-person classroom. Class features include the instructor podium, attendance reporting, student participation monitoring, live proctoring, survey, polling, whiteboard and many more.

ThingLink

ThingLink is a media creation tool that makes it easy to enrich images and videos. Anything from photos, to infographics, to 360-degree videos can become rich learning experiences or presentations with text notes, audio narration, links, and apps like YouTube or Google Forms. This is a versatile tool that can create interactive learning material for courses, digital storytelling, interactive resumes, marketing materials, or even building tours.

DesignPLUS

DesignPLUS is a suite of tools integrated into Canvas that helps instructors create engaging and accessible learning environments. The Design Plus content editor can help you create professional looking courses, while the multi-tool utilizes Canvas API to create quizzes, assignments, and discussion pages. Additionally, the Design Plus Upload/Embed image tool allows you to upload and edit images without having to leave Canvas.

Atomic Polls

Atomic Polls is a basic polling tool that you can use to increase engagement within Canvas pages. You can find it within the Canvas Rich Content Editor by pressing the apps button (represented by the plug icon). You may have to search for it by clicking View All.
