
What Is It?
Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) provides comprehensive hardware support for a wide range of computer components and peripherals through its Office of Information Technology and academic programs. The college’s IT departments—including Desktop Support, Academic Computing, and the Technical Support Help Desk—offer assistance with hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals across all campuses.
Who or What is Eligible?
SLCC Desktop and Help Desk Services provide full support to College owned desktop, laptop, mobile, and peripheral devices.
Support will also be provided to some personal devices, but they may be limited based on the issues encountered.
How Do I Make a Request or Report an Issue?
To report an issue with your desktop, laptop, mobile device, or any peripheral hardware, please select the "Report an issue with Computer/Laptop/Mobile Hardware". Example: Broken screen, not charging, or ports not working.
To report an issue with your operating system, such as blue screen errors, frequent restarts, general sluggishness or other errors, please select "Report an issue with Windows/MacOS or Mobile software"
To request assistance with moving your desktop, laptop, workstation, or a printer, please select "Request Workstation Delivery/Move"
How Much Does It Cost?
SLCC provides support to computing devices and assistance with moving them free of charge.
When Not to Use These Services
If there are issues with devices in computer labs, please submit a ticket with our Academic Computing team.
