General ISS Request

What Is It?

The Other ISS Request service is a temporary option for International Student Services (ISS) requests that do not currently have a dedicated service in the ISS Service Catalog.

As the ISS Service Catalog continues to expand, students should use the specific service that best matches their request whenever possible.

This service should only be used when you cannot find an appropriate service for your question, request, or issue.

Who or What is Eligible?

This service is available to current international students who:

  • Need assistance from International Student Services.
  • Have a request that is not currently available in the ISS Service Catalog.
  • Are unsure which ISS service applies to their situation.

ISS staff will review your request and route it to the appropriate team member if necessary.

How Do I Make a Request or Report an Issue?

Before submitting a request:

  1. Review the available services in the ISS Service Catalog.
  2. Confirm that no existing service matches your request.
  3. Provide a detailed description of your question, issue, or request.
  4. Include any supporting documentation that may help ISS understand your situation.

The more information you provide, the faster ISS will be able to assist you.

When Not to Use These Services

Do not use this service if a specific service already exists for your request.

Examples of requests that should use dedicated services include:

  • CPT Authorization Request
  • OPT Recommendation Request
  • Reduced Course Load (RCL) Request
  • Transfer Out Request
  • Health Insurance Waiver Request
  • Work Authorization Letter (On-Campus)
  • Reinstatement Request

If a dedicated service exists, please submit your request using that service instead. Doing so helps ISS process requests more efficiently and ensures faster response times.
