How to Login to Milestone Security Software

These steps should help you log into the Milestone software to view the security cameras assigned to you.

1. When logging into Milestone, be sure that the Computer name is set to "milemaster" rather than "local host". If you do not see "milemaster" as an option to login, you will need to manually enter the name into the Computer field.

2. Be sure that the Authentication method is set to "Windows Authentication(current user)". When logging into Milestone, you do not enter in your credentials, but instead set the software to pull your credentials from your Windows login. If you attempt to use your own credentials, you will be unable to login.

3. If both of these fields are correct and you are logged into your Windows account, you should be able to click "Connect" at the bottom and login to the Milestone software.

Sometimes an error will persist. There are several reason why you may not be able to login:

  • You are logged into a Microsoft account that does not have rights.
  • You have not been granted any access to Milestone Security
  • Your SmartClient is out of date

If you have not yet requested to be given access to Milestone, please submit a Milestone Access Request for approval and access rights.

If you have had access granted to you in the past but are still having errors, please submit a MileStone Issue form with an attached screen shot of the error and we will troubleshoot the issue right away.
