What is the regular full‑time faculty load, and when does overload begin?

Overload occurs when a faculty member’s assigned workload exceeds the full‑time limits for the term. Any workload above these limits is compensated at the current adjunct rate.

Full‑time workload limits are:

  • Fall & Spring: 15 IU = 33.75 WL

  • Summer: 10 IU = 22.50 WL

Once a faculty member exceeds these workload thresholds for the applicable term, the additional instructional units are considered overload.
