Using a phone Outlook Client to request vacation or sick leave with a M365 group calendar
Be sure that your manager and group use the Microsoft 365 group calendar as a method to request absences before following these instructions.
- In the Outlook client select the up arrow next to “New mail”

- In the new list that appears choose “New event”

- In the new event window first click the drop down arrow and choose the calendar with the name of your team.

- Next in the “Title” section enter a title starting with your name then give a short description of your request.

- Next, click on the “People” section and search for your name, make sure that only your name appears in this section.

- Fill out the scheduling information for the time you are requesting choosing “All day event” if you are requesting a full day.

- Change the “Show as” option to “Out of the Office”

- Finally click the check mark to finalize the event and start the request process
