This document outlines the current SLCC Standard Technologies. The following are the approved standard computer, printer, inter-departmental software, and accessory options.
All non-standard SLCC software/hardware purchases and subscriptions (including renewals) are required to be reviewed with the OIT. Refer to the SLCC Technology Approval and Prioritization Process.
Departments are required to purchase the following technology from the vendors indicated below.
Computers:
- PC: Dell Punchout in SLCCBuy
- Microsoft Surface: CDW-G Punchout in SLCCBuy
- Apple Computers/ iPads: Follett Higher Education (SLCC Bookstore)
- Contact the store manager, Angela Thomas X 4049 / an.thomas@follett.com for a formal quote. After you receive your quote, enter it into SLCCBuy as a Non-catalog Item Requisition in SLCCBuy. Select Follett Higher Education as the vendor. Note, if you are purchasing any Apple laptop such as a MacBook, an additional charge of ~$100 will be added to your requisition by the Purchasing department to purchase Absolute Resilience, a location tracking software required by OIT.
Printers:
- HP Printers: CDW-G Punchout in SLCCBuy
- Note, CDW-G has provided additional accessories such as warranties and toner in the form of bundles in their punchout. You are not required to purchase any of these additional accessories. If you wish to remove these additional items, uncheck the “Include All” box and then check the box next to the printer/item(s) you want to purchase.
Software Available for Inter-Departmental Purchase:
Please submit the Request Authorized SLCC Apps form to request software listed below (LanSchool, Final Cut Pro, and Logic Pro needs a ticket submitted to the Help Desk with index code, BCM, amount of licenses needed.) After license has been assigned, the index will be charged annually until access is requested to be cancelled.
- Visio: Plan 1 (web only) or Plan 2 (desktop app)
- Copilot
- PowerBI
- Project
- Box
- Teams Premium
- LanSchool
- Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro
- Other Apple App Store purchases may require submitting OIT Technology Request Form
Peripherals and Accessories (keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc.):
- These items may be purchased from any of our technology or office supplier punchouts such as CDW-G, B&H, ODP (Office Depot), Staples, Amazon, SLCC Bookstore etc.
