How to Request Username/SLCC Email Address Change (Students Only)
This article provides an overview of how to use update your SLCC Username or Email address.
Overview
Your SLCC Username and Email address are created using your legal first and last name. If your legal name changes or your information was entered incorrectly, you may be eligible to request an update to your Username and Email address.
Common reasons for a Username or Email address change include:

Your name was entered incorrectly during the admissions process and has since been corrected.

You have legally changed your name.

The Office of the Registrar and Academic Records has updated your legal name information in SLCC records and now you would like your Username and Email address updated to reflect that change.
Verify Your Legal Name on File
Before requesting a Username or Email address change, verify the legal name currently on file with SLCC.

Sign in to your MySLCC account.

Open your My Profile (Dashboard)

Review the Personal Information section.

Confirm that your legal first and last name are displayed correctly.
Need to Update Your Legal Name?
If your legal name is incorrect or has been changed, you must first update your information through the Office of the Registrar and Academic Records before a Username or Email address change can be processed.

Complete the Name Change Form.

Submit all required documentation as directed on the form.

Wait for the Office of the Registrar and Academic Records to review and process your request.

Important Information

Username and Email address changes are based on the legal name recorded with the Office of the Registrar and Academic Records.

If your legal name has not been updated in SLCC records, a Username or Email address change cannot be processed.

Once your legal name has been updated, you may submit a request for your Username and Email address to be changed to match your updated legal name.
