How to work with Calendars in the New/Web version of Outlook

Description

This KB gives instructions on how to do the following in the New/Web version of Outlook:
  • Add someone's calendar to your calendar views
  • Create a new calendar group 
 
 
Criteria 

The following bullet points are the necessary criteria for this KB.
  • You must be utilizing New/Web Outlook (not Classic, Legacy, or Outlook for Mac)
  • Both you and the person whose calendar you are adding need to be staff at SLCC
 
 
How to add someone's calendar to your calendar views in the New/Web version of Outlook

To add someone's calendar to your calendar views in the New/Web version of Outlook, please follow the steps below.
  1. From your calendar, click "Add calendar" under the mini calendar on the left hand side
  2. Choose "Add from directory"
  3. Choose your email, the person whose calendar you want to add, and the calendar group you would like to add their calendar to, then click "Add"

How to create a new calendar group in the New/Web version of Outlook

To create a new calendar group in the New/Web version of Outlook, please follow the steps below.
  1. From your calendar, click on the three dots that appear next to your email address and choose "New calendar group"

  2. Name the group
     
  3. Click the three dots that appear next to someone's name in your calendar list and choose "Move to" and then your new group's name

After you have created the calendar group, you can also add people's calendars directly to it when adding their calendar for the first time:
