Body
SLCC has adopted an accessibility tool called Panorama. Panorama uses automated tools to identify and improve the accessibility of digital media and course content. It also generates reports that show how accessible files in a course are, as well as problem areas to take a look at. Panorama does this through AI, machine learning, as well as interactive tools to help you improve file accessibility.
How do I use it in Canvas?
You can find Panorama in your course navigation. If it is not there then it might be hidden and you will need to update the course navigation links. This is how you access your course report, which will show you analytics, and lists of various issues and how you can fix them.
How do I use the Course Navigation Menu as an instructor?
You can also find Panorama by clicking the files right next to the files and pages in your courses. The icons will take you to the remediation engine that will help you make the individual file more accessible.

It also has the ability to change the file format for any of the files or pages in your course. Formats include text files, EPUB, PDF, and even formats that work with Braile. This allows faculty and students to easily change file formats to meet everyone's needs.
Accessing Alternative File Formats in Panorama
For more information on all of the features, the Panorama Help Center is your primary source for information for the app. There you can find general overviews of Panorama, as well as step by step guides for all of the different functions.

What are best practices when using Panorama?
While Panorama is a powerful tool to help make your course more accessible, and save you some time doing so, it is an automated tool that still requires you to review your course manually for accessibility. Because of this, we do not have a required or suggested accessibility score for your courses. Your best bet is to use Panorama to make your course as accessible as possible, and then use the following checklists to do a manual review.

We also have an accessibility area in the Canvas Global Navigation that has even more information.
