macOS 14 Sonoma and the Early Adopter Program

OIT has done an initial testing of the Sonoma beta. We are not seeing any issues with Microsoft Office, network security nor antivirus software. On Sonoma supported Mac Models, Users can now opt in to upgrade to macOS 14 Sonoma, via going to Applications>SLCC Self-Service>Early Adopter Program Click the Enroll Button.  This removes the College’s block on macOS 14 Sonoma, allowing one to initiate the upgrade through Apple’s Software Update.

Early Adopters is a smart group of Mac computers, that will receive some updates prior to General availability but after OIT beta testing. You can remove your computer at any time.

General availability of Sonoma is expected before January 2024. If you have software known to be not compatible with macOS 14 Sonoma, and wish to be added to the do not upgrade list, please email the helpdesk@slcc.edu.
