How to Download and Connect the Kramer VIA Application

STEP 1: Get the VIA App (first time only)

1. Connect to the SLCC wireless network.

2. OPEN a wen browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and type in "Room Name" in the address bar.

3. The Krammer VIA Connect PRO Welcome Page appears.

  • Click "Install VIA" to permanently download the Krammer VIA app on your device (recommended).
  • Click "Run VIA" if you only want to use the program once (and don't have admin rights).
  • Join through browser (least functional, but easiest).

For iOS or Android device: Download and install the free Krammer VIA app from your app store.


STEP 2: Start the app and connect to VIA

1. Open the VIA app on your device.

2. In the Welcome to VIA window type the "Room Name" as it appears on the screen in your room.

3. Type a "Nickname" for your device, which will appear on the screen when you present content from your device.

4. Type in the temporary 4-digit "Room Code" as it appears on the room display.

5. Click "Join" to start the app.

STEP 3: Present your Screen

1. Choose what to share.

  1. Select [1] to share your main laptop screen.
  2. Select [2] to install a virtual display adaptor for an extended desktop.
  3. Select "Share App" to share individual apps from your computer.

2. Click "Tap to Present" to display your computer on the VIA wireless display.

NOTE: When sharing video with audio you can adjust the volume at the bottom of the VIA app.

NOTE2: Depending on your device, you may have to go to the security settings and allow video/audio sharing.
